The Elephants Dream Movie Download

Elephants Dream is the fantastical animated story of a pair of odd characters exploring a mysterious and very dangerous machine that seems to be endless. The elder of the two, Proog, takes on the role of a tour-guide and protector, as he shows his skeptical protege Emo the sights and many dangers of the machine. At first Emo is initially curious, but he soon becomes increasingly worried. As their journey begins to unfold, the pair start to discover signs that the machine is not quite at all what Proog believes it to be. Proog soon begins to become much more desperate in his trek through the machine.

The Elephants Dream movie is a story about fiction and communication. Elephant Dream is the world’s first 3D animated “Open-ended movie”. The Elephants Dreams film itself was released under the Creative Commons license, along with the entirety of the production files used to make it around 7 Gigabytes of data. The software used to make the Elephants Dream movie is the Blender free/open source animation suite along with other open source software. This method has allowed the movie to be remixed, remade and re-purposed with only a computer and the data on the Elephants Dream DVD or Elephants Dream download.

"Elephants Dream" took almost a year to make. The project was originally initiated and coordinated by Blender.

Elephants Dreams is a computer-generated movie made using open source applications. Beginning production in September, 2005, it was developed under the name Orange by a team of 7 artists and animators from around the globe.
