Guitar Tricks Review

Guitar Tricks - The Original And #1 Online Guitar Lessons Website

Since 1998, Guitar Tricks has been online helping both beginning guitarists and practiced guitarists improve their guitar playing skills. Guitar Tricks was originally started by long-time guitarist Jon Broderick who aspired to help to find accurate guitar tabs and high quality information about playing guitar.

Over a decade later, Guitar Tricks library of thousands of guitar lesson videos has made it into a virtual gathering place for learning guitarists all over the world. Guitar Tricks lessons are taught by 45 world class guitarists, experts who professionally earn a living by playing guitar. Out of all of the guitar courses I have reviewed, I found the guitar tricks and techniques taught by Guitar Tricks to be the most rare and unique.

What I mean is, you will not find the same old, “This is how to play the C chord or this is how to play the Am Pentatonic Scale...” as part of Guitar Tricks curriculum for advanced players. Of course you will find this type of lessons with the absolute beginning guitarists material, but the thing which impresses me the most about this site is that it is completely diverse regarding skill levels. From beginner to expert guitarist, you can find top notch video guitar lessons based on both genre and particular guitarist’s style.

I have an amazing collection of DVDs by all of the top guitar professionals like Frank Gambale (the Grandmaster of Sweep Picking Technique), John Petrucci (a Progressive Metal Master), and heavy metal shredder Michael Angelo Batio. All of which set me back about half a grand in U.S. greenbacks. Aspiring guitarists will find that Jon Broderick's Guitar Tricks website has a plethora of amazing guitar video lessons that teach you how to play the same kind of techniques that cost me a mint. The guitar lessons found on Guitar Tricks are invaluable to all levels of guitarists.

What‘s more amazing is, what it took me more than a month to learn on my own took me only a day at Guitar Tricks. I found their guitar lessons to be loaded with outstanding material and their navigation to be very easy to use and follow.

As with everything in life, there is some bad found with the good and it is no different with Guitar Tricks. Although Guitar Tricks may be a great deal cheaper than if you were to sign-up for private guitar lessons. I did find that some of their older guitar lesson videos to be a tad distorted as well as having poor sound quality. Some of their lessons just need to be re-done. What makes it not to big a deal is their videos come complete with guitar  tabs.

One other downside is the fact that you don’t have a private guitar instructor looking over your shoulder, correcting your guitar playing technique every step of the way. On the other hand, Guitar Tricks has an awesome forum frequented by their instructors, so if you have a question that needs asking, you can ask it there. I found Learn and Master Guitar to be a bit better suited for the beginning guitarist. For more advanced guitarists, there is nothing better than Guitar Tricks.

For the advanced guitarist, there isn’t anything that can compare and I mean that. Guitar Tricks lessons will help you to attain expert levels faster than any site online. You can learn the same exact techniques that are used by guitar greats like Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, and even the “Master of the Stratocaster” himself, Jimi Hendrix. You can‘t ask for more than that!
