The fight for your movie downloads money has been around ever since the Internet became so popular. In response to this latest Blockbuster move, Netflix has started offering movie downloads directly to customer's PC's. For Netflix's customers, movie downloads means no waiting for their rented movies to arrive in their mailbox, and no need to return a viewed movie prior to getting their next movie shipped to their home.
Is NetFlix Movie Downloads Ready For Prime Time?
Netflix seems to have come up with a great idea, but apparently, downloading movies only works well for customers who own fast computers with a big hard drive and a broadband connection. Not all of Netflix's potential customers has enough speed, enough hard drive space or a broadband connection on their PC for movie downloads. Unless you have a quick PC that is attached to extremely fast Internet connection, movie downloads can take a long time. However, if you plan your movie downloads to begin prior to going to bed, or going shopping or to work, this is something someone can do and not even notice the long wait. An inexpensive external hard drive will give plenty of space on your computer to store all of your movie downloads. Here is something you should know: Netflix has made it so after watching your movie downloads a few times, you won’t be able to copy it.

Another negative of the Netflix movie downloads is that it is not the greatest way to watch a movie if you have a large family. In spite of these set-backs, as technology improves and prices drop, this could become something very common in the future, and people may start choosing movie downloads rather than mailing rented movies to their mailboxes. As computers become faster and more powerful, downloaded movies can come faster, which means movie downloads will soon be downloaded in just mere minutes.
